  1. Plug the provided Type-C cable into the Type-C port located on the TOP of the Hyperkin Xenon.
  2. Plug the other end of the cable into an available USB port on your Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PC or Steam OS.
  3. The controller will vibrate.
  4. Click the Nexus button.
  5. The ring light will illuminate.

WAKING UP YOUR XBOX CONSOLE USING THE COMPETITOR

If The Competitor is plugged into an Xbox console, you may turn on the console by clicking the Nexus button on The Competitor. After doing so, the console will turn on and the controller Nexus button will illuminate (this may take a few seconds).

PROGRAMMABLE BACK BUTTONS (MAPPING)

To map a button to a back button, hold the Mode Button (marked “M”) on the back of the controller, and your desired back button (M1 or M2) at the same time. The Competitor will vibrate, and the ring light around the Nexus will begin to flash. Release the Mode Button and back button. The Competitor is now in “mapping mode”. Next, click the button you would like mapped to your desired back button. The Competitor will vibrate again, indicating that you have exited “mapping mode” and the selected button has been mapped to your desired back button.

PROGRAMMABLE BACK BUTTONS (UN-MAPPING)

To un-map a button from a back button, hold the Mode Button (marked “M”) and your desired back button. The Competitor will vibrate, and the ring light will begin to flash. Release the Mode Button and back button. The Competitor is now in “mapping mode”. Next, click the same back button. The Competitor will vibrate again, indicating that you have exited “mapping mode” and a button is no longer mapped to that back button.

BACK BUTTON LOCKS

To disable back buttons, slide the switches on the back of The Competitor inwards towards the “locked” indicator to lock the back buttons. Slide outwards to unlock.

REMOVEABLE STICK CAPS
Grip and remove the stick caps in an upward motion. To set new stick caps onto the sticks, align the smaller teeth on the stick caps with the notches on the stick. Press down on the stick caps until they click into place.

Connect your headset audio jack into the bottom of The Competitor.

Double-tap the Mute Button (microphone symbol) on the front of The Competitor to mute the microphone on a connected headset. An orange glow indicates that your microphone is muted.
