The SHARP EL531XTWH calculator is twin-powered, operating on solar energy with a battery backup. A 1.5V LR44 battery is included. If the display becomes dim or unresponsive in low light, the battery may need replacement.
- Turn the calculator OFF.
- Locate the battery compartment on the back of the calculator.
- Carefully open the battery cover using a small screwdriver or coin.
- Remove the old battery (if applicable) and insert a new LR44 battery, ensuring the correct polarity (+/-).

2. Initial Power On and Display Check
