8. Nchọpụta nsogbu

If you encounter issues with your GODIAG Level 2 EV Charger, refer to the following troubleshooting guide.

1. Charger Not Powering On:

  • Check if the NEMA 14-50 plug is securely inserted into the outlet.
  • Verify that the circuit breaker for the outlet is in the ON position and has not tripped.
  • Ensure there is power to the 240V outlet.

2. Charging Not Initiating:

  • Confirm the J1772 connector is fully and correctly inserted into your vehicle's charging port.
  • Check your vehicle's dashboard or charging indicator for any error messages.
  • Ensure no delayed start timer is active on the charger.

3. Difficulty with Touch Screen Controls (Current/Timer Adjustment):

  • The touch screen is sensitive. Ensure your finger is dry and clean when interacting with the display.
  • Apply a firm, brief touch rather than a prolonged press.
  • In some environmental conditions, such as direct sunlight or extreme heat, touch screen responsiveness may be affected. If possible, try adjusting settings when the unit is not exposed to such conditions.
  • If the screen appears unresponsive, try unplugging the charger from the wall outlet for 30 seconds and then plugging it back in to reset the unit.

4. Charger Overheating or Tripping Breaker:

  • Ensure the charging current setting on the charger does not exceed the capacity of your circuit breaker (e.g., 40A charger setting on a 40A breaker can cause trips; use 32A setting).
  • Verify adequate ventilation around the charger unit.
  • If the issue persists, contact a qualified electrician to inspect your electrical system.
