2.1 Mmalite Mmalite

Your SEIKO automatic watch is powered by the motion of your wrist. Before initial use or if the watch has stopped, it needs to be wound. You can do this in two ways:

• Ikuku aka: Rotate the crown clockwise several times (approximately 20-30 turns) while it is in the normal (pushed-in) position. This will start the movement and build up some power reserve.
• Ikuku akpaaka: Wear the watch on your wrist. Normal daily activities will cause the rotor inside the watch to spin, winding the mainspring. For a full power reserve (approx. 41 hours), wear the watch for at least 8-10 hours.

5. Ndozi ikpeazụ: After setting the day/date, push the crown back to the normal position.

The stainless steel bracelet can be adjusted by adding or removing links. It is recommended to have this procedure performed by a qualified watchmaker or SEIKO service center to prevent damage to the bracelet or watch.

The Caliber 4R36 movement is a self-winding mechanical movement. It does not require a battery. The mainspring is wound by the natural motion of your arm while wearing the watch. If the watch is not worn for an extended period, it will stop. Simply re-wind it manually or wear it to restart.

3.2 Water Resistance (100M / 10 Bar)

This watch is water-resistant to 100 meters (10 bar). This means it is suitable for everyday use, swimming, and snorkeling. It is not suitable for scuba diving. Always ensure the crown is fully pushed in before exposing the watch to water.

3.3 Uni-directional Rotating Bezel

The watch features a uni-directional rotating bezel. This bezel can be used to measure elapsed time. Rotate the bezel counter-clockwise to align the zero mark with the minute hand. The minute hand's position on the bezel will then indicate the elapsed time.

• Watch has stopped or is running inaccurately: The watch may not have sufficient power reserve. Manually wind the watch by turning the crown clockwise 20-30 times, or wear it continuously for 8-10 hours.
• Day/Date changes at noon instead of midnight: This indicates the AM/PM setting is incorrect. Advance the time by 12 hours.
• Condensation inside the crystal: This may indicate a breach in the water resistance. Immediately take the watch to an authorized SEIKO service center for inspection and repair.
• Crown is difficult to operate: Ensure no debris is lodged around the crown. If the issue persists, do not force it and contact a service center.
