1. Initial Winding (Automatic Movement)

Your Timex Deep Water watch is powered by an automatic mechanical movement. It winds itself with the motion of your wrist. If the watch has stopped or is running low on power, it can be manually wound:

2. Ịtọ oge na ụbọchị

  1. Tụpụ okpueze: The crown is a screw-down type for water resistance. Rotate the crown counter-clockwise until it springs out to position 1.
  2. Tọọ ụbọchị: Gently pull the crown out to position 2 (first click). Rotate the crown clockwise or counter-clockwise to adjust the date. Avoid setting the date between 9 PM and 3 AM, as this can damage the movement.
  3. Tọọ oge: Pull the crown out further to position 3 (second click). The second hand will stop. Rotate the crown to set the hour and minute hands. To ensure accurate time setting, align the minute hand a few minutes past the desired time, then rotate it back.
  4. mekọrịta: Once the time is set, push the crown back to position 1 when a time signal (e.g., from a radio or phone) reaches the 12 o'clock mark.
  5. Screw Down the Crown: Push the crown firmly back into the case and rotate it clockwise while pushing, until it is securely screwed down. This is crucial for maintaining water resistance.

Inye oge

Once set, your automatic watch will keep time as long as it is worn regularly or kept on a watch winder. The movement has a power reserve that allows it to run for a period (typically 38-40 hours) when not worn.

Iji bezel na-atụgharị

The unidirectional rotating top ring (bezel) can be used to measure elapsed time, typically for diving or other timed activities. To use:

  1. Rotate the bezel counter-clockwise to align the zero marker (triangle) with the minute hand at the start of your activity.
  2. Read the elapsed time on the bezel against the minute hand.

Mmiri Nguzogide

This watch is water resistant up to 200 meters (660 feet). This makes it suitable for professional marine activity and serious surface water sports, but not for saturation diving. Always ensure the crown is fully screwed down before exposing the watch to water.
