- Carefully screw the FA-SC59V antenna onto the connector at the top of the radio unit until it is finger-tight. Do not overtighten.

- Slide the battery pack into place until it clicks securely. Ensure the battery release latch is engaged.

- Connect the BC-217SA/SE* AC adapter to the BC-235 desktop charger.

- Slide the MB-133 belt clip onto the designated slot on the back of the radio until it locks into place.
- Thread the hand strap through the loop on the radio for secure carrying.

1. Cleaning and Waterproofing
The IC-M37 is designed with IP57 dust and waterproof protection, capable of withstanding submersion in up to 1 meter of water for 30 minutes. After exposure to saltwater, rinse the radio thoroughly with fresh water and dry it completely to prevent corrosion.

This feature automatically clears water from the speaker grille after exposure to moisture, ensuring crisp audio quality. No special action is required from the user for this function to operate.
