5.2. Ịkwanye Unit

The DIN Pixie operates on a wide voltage range of 5-48VDC. It can be powered from the same source as your LED pixels via the VCC and 0V terminals on the SPI output connectors. Alternatively, power can be supplied via the USB connection.

5.3. Connecting LED Pixels

Connect your LED pixel strips or dots to the SPI output terminals. Ensure correct polarity (0V, DATA, VCC) and that the voltage supplied matches the requirements of your pixel strips and is within the 5-48VDC limit of the DIN Pixie.

The DIN Pixie supports RGB and RGBW pixel strips and dots.

5.4. DMX Input Connection

Connect your DMX source to the RJ45 DMX input ports. The unit can receive DMX512-A data.

5.5. Nhazi

The DIN Pixie is configurable and updatable via USB using Enttec's free PRO-MANAGER software. This software allows you to:

  • Configure DMX starting address.
  • Set pixel grouping functions to optimize channel usage.
  • Select between control modes.
  • Test output sequences (no external data source required).
  • Melite ngwa ngwa.

For the latest version of PRO-MANAGER software and drivers, visit the official Enttec websaịtị: enttec.com

6. Ụdị arụ ọrụ

The DIN Pixie supports various operating modes, indicated by the status LED:

  • NA: Overheating/Error
  • 0.5 Hz: Na-abaghị uru
  • 2 Hz: Standalone playback
  • 8 Hz: Ịnata DMX
  • 25 Hz: Receiving from USB

6.1. Ụdị njikwa DMX

When receiving DMX data, the DIN Pixie converts up to 2 DMX universes (1024 channels) into SPI pixel protocols. The DMX starting address and pixel grouping can be configured via PRO-MANAGER.

The unit can be configured to play a show on DMX loss or blackout output, providing a fail-safe mechanism.

6.2. Standalone Playback Mode

The DIN Pixie has inbuilt flash memory for standalone show playback (4000 frames, approximately 100 seconds). Shows can be recorded and uploaded using PRO-MANAGER. Standalone playback can include sequence advance control options such as play count, loop delay, and play on power up.

6.3. USB Control Mode

The DIN Pixie can be controlled directly via the USB Type-B connector using the Enttec Pixie Driver API. This allows for direct control from a computer or compatible device.

7. Nlekọta

The Enttec DIN Pixie is designed for reliable operation and requires minimal maintenance.

  • Nhicha: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the exterior of the unit. Do not use liquid cleaners or solvents.

    • Verify that the power source is active.
  • No Pixel Output:
    • Confirm correct wiring of 0V, DATA, and VCC to the pixel strips.
    • Check if the DMX source is active and sending data (status LED should be 8Hz).
    • Verify pixel protocol and DMX starting address settings in PRO-MANAGER.
    • Ensure the pixel strips themselves are functional.
  • DMX Input Not Detected (LED 8Hz not flashing):
    • Check DMX cable connections.
    • Ensure the DMX source is transmitting.
    • Confirm the DMX source is using USITT DMX512-A protocol.
  • PRO-MANAGER Connection Issues:
    • Gbaa mbọ hụ na ejikọrọ eriri USB na nchekwa.
    • Install the correct FTDI drivers for your operating system. Refer to the Enttec website for driver information.
    • Restart PRO-MANAGER and reconnect the USB cable.
  • Overheating/Error (LED ON):
    • Check for adequate ventilation around the unit.
    • Ensure the ambient temperature is within the operating range (0°C to 50°C).
    • Reduce the load on the SPI outputs if possible.
