Once the network card is physically installed and drivers are successfully loaded, you can begin using it:
- Jikọọ eriri Ethernet: Plug a standard RJ45 Ethernet cable from your network router, switch, or modem into the RJ45 port on the newly installed network card.
- Nyochaa njikọ: Observe the LED indicators on the RJ45 port. Typically, one LED indicates link activity (data transfer) and the other indicates connection speed (e.g., green for Gigabit, amber for 100 Mbps). Refer to the image below for LED locations.
- Nhazi netwọk: Your operating system should automatically detect the new network connection. You may need to configure network settings (e.g., IP address, DNS) if your network does not use DHCP.
- Nwalee Njikọta: Mepee a web browser or use network diagnostic tools to confirm internet access and network connectivity.
