4.1 Mounting the Trolling Motor

The propeller should be submerged sufficiently to avoid cavitation but not so deep as to hit the bottom in shallow waters.

5.1 Deploying and Stowing the Motor

To deploy the motor, release the stow/deploy pedal or lever and gently lower the motor into the water. To stow, lift the motor out of the water and secure it in the stowed position using the pedal/lever and any locking mechanisms.
