1. Unfold the gameboard and place it in the center of the playing area.
2. Attach the label sheet stickers to the appropriate game components as indicated in the instructions.
3. Each player chooses a hero pawn and places it on its designated starting space on the gameboard.
4. Place the 6 equipment tokens randomly on the spaces marked for them on the gameboard.
5. Prepare the notepad and die for use during gameplay.
6. Follow the instructions to secretly determine the solution (who, what, when) and place the corresponding cards in the confidential envelope.
7. Distribute the remaining clue cards evenly among all players.

The game's objective is to solve the mystery of Loki's Big Trick. Players take turns rolling the die to move their chosen hero pawn around Avengers Tower. The die roll determines movement or allows players to peek under other hero pawns or equipment tokens to gather clues. As clues are discovered, players mark their notepad to eliminate possibilities. The first player to correctly deduce who Loki tricked, what he stole, and when he escaped wins the game.

Game Play Overview

Players move their hero pawns around the gameboard, which represents Avengers Tower. Each turn involves rolling the die and performing an action based on the result:

• Move Your Pawn: Advance your hero pawn the number of spaces indicated on the die.
• Peek Under Pawns/Tokens: If the die indicates, you may peek under another player's hero pawn or an equipment token to reveal a clue.
• Gather Clues: Use the notepad to keep track of the clues you discover and eliminate suspects, stolen items, and times.
• Make a Suggestion: When you enter a room, you can make a suggestion about who, what, and when Loki's trick occurred. Other players must show you a matching card if they have one, helping you narrow down the possibilities.
• Make an Accusation: Once you are confident you know the solution, you can make an accusation. If your accusation matches the cards in the confidential envelope, you win! If incorrect, you are out of the game.
