2.3 Outdoor Sensor Placement and Mounting
Proper placement of the outdoor sensor is crucial for accurate readings.
- Mount the sensor in an open area, away from obstructions like buildings or trees, to ensure accurate wind and rain measurements.
- Ensure the sensor is mounted level to guarantee accurate rainfall collection and wind direction.
- Orient the wind vane (the arrow) to point North during installation.
- Use the provided mounting pole and base to secure the sensor to a stable surface or pole.
