Ịrụ ọrụ na mmezi

Your Steelcase Series 1 chair offers a range of adjustments to customize your seating experience for optimal ergonomic support and comfort.

1. Ndozi elu oche

To adjust the seat height, locate the lever on the right side, under the seat. Lift your weight off the seat and pull the lever up to raise the seat. Remain seated and pull the lever up to lower the seat. The proper positioning is when your feet are flat on the floor and your thighs are parallel to the floor.

2. Mgbanwe Omimi Oche

To adjust the seat depth, release your weight from the chair, then pull the handle under the seat and hold it up as you slide the seat forward or backward. This accommodates different leg lengths, reduces pressure behind the knees, and provides better lower back and leg support. It is properly adjusted when you sit with your lower back against the backrest and there are 2 to 3 inches of space between the seat edge and the back of your knees.

3. Armrest Adjustments

The armrests offer height, width, pivot, and depth adjustments. To adjust arm height, squeeze the arm button, lift or lower the armrest, then release the button. Arm width, pivot, and depth are adjusted by grasping the arm caps and sliding them in or out, forward or back, and side to side. Proper positioning allows your arms to rest naturally at your side, with forearms parallel to the ground, without your shoulders being hunched.

4. Back Tension and Recline

Your chair features a simple comfort dial to adjust both back tension and back recline. As you turn the comfort dial, it will click at each setting:

  • Ọkwa 1: Regular weight-activated recline tension setting.
  • Ọkwa 2: Weight-activated recline with a tension boost to provide more resistance.
  • Ọkwa 3: Upright back lock.

5. Nkwado nkwado Lumbar

The adjustable lumbar provides additional support to your lower back. Grasp the handles on the backrest, lean forward slightly, and slide the handles up or down. It is properly adjusted when it fits into the small of your back and feels most comfortable to you. If you do not wish to engage the lumbar support, slide it all the way down to the neutral position.

6. Headrest Adjustment (Optional)

For headrest adjustment, simply grasp the headrest and move it up or down to adjust the height to your preference.
