Before brewing coffee for the first time, it is recommended to clean the appliance to remove any manufacturing residues.

- Fill the water reservoir with clean water up to the maximum fill line.
- Place the empty filter holder with the permanent filter (or no filter) into its position.
- Place the insulated cup with its lid removed onto the drip tray.
- Plug the coffee machine into a suitable power outlet.
- Press the On/Off button to start a brewing cycle with only water.
- Allow the cycle to complete. The machine will automatically shut off.
- Discard the hot water and allow the machine to cool down before proceeding.

Place the coffee machine on a stable, flat, heat-resistant surface, away from the edge of the counter and out of reach of children.
