- ON/READ Button: Powers on the device and initiates measurements.
- +/- UNIT Button: Toggles between addition/subtraction and changes measurement units.
- Area/Volume/Indirect Measurement Button: Cycles through various measurement modes.
- History Button: Accesses stored measurement records.
- Reference Button / Mute Button: Changes the measurement reference point (front/back) and mutes/unmutes sound.
- OFF/Return Button: Powers off the device or returns to the previous screen.

4.1 Setting Measurement Reference Point
The device can measure from its front edge or its back edge. This is crucial for accurate measurements depending on your starting point.

- Pịa Reference / Mute button to toggle between the front and back reference points. An icon on the display will indicate the currently selected reference.

- Otu nha: Pịa ON/READ once to activate the laser, then again to take a single distance measurement.
- Ntụle Na-aga n'ihu (Mbelata/Max): In this mode, the device continuously measures and displays the current, minimum, and maximum distances. Press ON/READ to start and again to stop.
- Nlele mpaghara: The device will prompt you to measure two sides (length and width). After two measurements, it automatically calculates and displays the area.
- Ntụle olu: The device will prompt you to measure three sides (length, width, and height). After three measurements, it automatically calculates and displays the volume.
- Indirect Measurement (Pythagorean): This mode allows for indirect measurement of heights or distances using the Pythagorean theorem. Follow the on-screen prompts to take the required measurements (2 or 3 points).
4.4 Data Storage and Retrieval
The atolla T201 can store up to 20 measurement records.
