3.2. Seat Belt Installation (Groups 0+/1/2/3, 0-36 kg)

For all groups, the car seat can also be installed using the vehicle's 3-point seat belt. Specific belt routing varies for rear-facing (Group 0+) and forward-facing (Groups 1/2/3) positions.

  1. Rear-Facing (Group 0+, 0-13 kg): Position the car seat rear-facing. Route the vehicle's 3-point seat belt through the designated blue belt guides on the car seat. Ensure the lap belt is tight across the child's lap and the diagonal belt passes through the guide at the back of the seat. Fasten the seat belt buckle.
  2. Forward-Facing (Groups 1/2/3, 9-36 kg): Position the car seat forward-facing. Route the vehicle's 3-point seat belt through the designated red belt guides. For Group 1, use the car seat's internal harness. For Groups 2/3, the child is secured directly by the vehicle's 3-point seat belt, with the car seat acting as a booster.
  3. Lelee Nchebe: Ensure the vehicle seat belt is taut and the car seat is firmly secured.
