The InStep Sync Bike Trailer is designed for quick and easy assembly. Most components are pre-assembled, requiring minimal effort to get started.

  1. Unfold the Trailer: Carefully remove the trailer from its packaging. The frame is designed to fold flat for storage. Gently pull the sides apart until the frame locks into its open position.

  3. Inflate Tires: Inflate the tires to the recommended pressure indicated on the tire sidewall.
  4. Install Safety Flag: Insert the safety flag pole into the receptacle located on the rear of the trailer.
  5. Prepare Canopy: The 2-in-1 canopy includes a mesh bug screen and a clear weather shield. Secure the canopy over the trailer opening using the snaps and Velcro straps provided. You can roll up either layer depending on weather conditions.
  6. Attach Universal Coupler to Bicycle:
    • Remove the rear axle nut from your bicycle.
    • Place the universal coupler onto the bicycle's rear axle, ensuring it sits flush against the frame.
    • Re-attach and tighten the rear axle nut securely.
    • Connect the trailer arm to the coupler by aligning the holes and inserting the safety pin. Secure the pin with its retainer clip.
    • Wrap the safety strap from the trailer arm around your bicycle's frame and clip it back onto the trailer arm as an additional safety measure.
