  • 1 x Umbrella Pole with Crank Mechanism

  1. Kwadebe Mpaghara: Choose a flat, stable surface for your umbrella. Ensure there is enough space (13 ft x 6.5 ft) for the canopy to fully extend without obstruction.
  2. Wụnye Base: Place your weighted umbrella base (not included) in the desired location. Follow the base manufacturer's instructions for proper installation and weighting.
  3. Tinye osisi ahụ: Carefully insert the umbrella pole into the opening of your weighted base. Tighten any securing knobs or screws on the base to hold the pole firmly in place.

4.1 Opening the Umbrella

To open the umbrella, turn the crank handle located on the pole in a clockwise direction. Continue turning until the canopy is fully extended and provides maximum shade. Do not over-tighten.

4.2 Closing the Umbrella

To close the umbrella, turn the crank handle in a counter-clockwise direction. The canopy will retract and fold neatly against the pole. Once fully closed, it is recommended to secure the canopy with a tie strap (if included or available) to prevent it from unfurling in the wind.

4.3 Solar LED Lights (if applicable)

Some models may include solar-powered LED lights. These lights typically have a small solar panel on top of the umbrella and a power button on the pole. Ensure the solar panel receives direct sunlight during the day to charge. Press the power button to activate the lights in the evening.

5. Nlekọta

5.1 Cleaning the Canopy

Clean the polyester fabric canopy periodically with mild soap and water. Use a soft brush or cloth to gently scrub away dirt and debris. Rinse thoroughly with clean water and allow the canopy to air dry completely before closing or storing.

5.2 Frame and Ribs

Inspect the steel frame and ribs regularly for any signs of rust, damage, or loose connections. Clean the frame with a damp cloth. If rust appears, treat it with a rust-inhibiting primer and paint to prevent further corrosion.

5.3 Nchekwa

During periods of non-use, especially in harsh weather or off-season, it is recommended to close the umbrella and cover it with a protective cover (not included) or store it indoors. This will prolong the life and appearance of your umbrella.

6. Nchọpụta nsogbu

  • Umbrella won't open/close smoothly: Check for any obstructions in the crank mechanism or canopy fabric. Ensure the pole is correctly seated in the base and not bent. Apply a silicone-based lubricant to moving parts if necessary.
  • Umbrella is unstable: Verify that a sufficiently weighted base is being used. Ensure the pole is fully inserted and secured in the base. Avoid using the umbrella in high winds.
  • Canopy fading: While the fabric is fade-resistant, prolonged exposure to intense sunlight can still cause some fading over time. Using a protective cover when not in use can help minimize this.
