Your Timex Expedition Scout watch is powered by light. For optimal performance, it is recommended to fully charge the watch before its first use. Place the watch face up under a strong light source (natural sunlight is ideal) for several hours. A full charge provides a four-month power reserve, ensuring continuous operation even in prolonged darkness.

Watch not running or stopping:
This is typically due to insufficient charge. Place the watch under a strong light source for several hours to allow the solar cell to recharge the internal battery. Ensure the watch is not covered or in a dark place for extended periods.
Date not changing correctly:
The date mechanism is set for a 31-day month. At the end of months with fewer than 31 days, you will need to manually adjust the date using the crown (pull to position 1 and rotate) to the correct day.
