1. Okwu mmalite

The EK-Quantum Torque HDC 16 Nickel fittings are EKWB's minimalistic 16mm hard-tube compression fittings. They are specifically designed for use with solid tubing materials such as Acrylic and PETG in custom liquid cooling loops. These fittings feature a non-intrusive design without prominent branding, allowing for a clean aesthetic.

The design allows for customization with interchangeable aesthetic color rings, which are sold separately. The robust construction ensures a secure connection for your rigid tubing.

2. Ngwaahịa gafereview

Each EK-Quantum Torque HDC 16 fitting consists of a barb and a compression ring, both crafted from CNC machined brass with a high-quality nickel finish. The seal is provided by durable rubber O-rings, ensuring a leak-proof connection.

The locking ring mechanism prevents the solid tube from being dislodged by compressing the rubber gasket beneath it. The exterior of the compression ring features grooves for easier hand tightening. Additionally, the compression ring incorporates cutouts in the EK Quantum signature shape, designed to showcase the optional colored aesthetic rings.

  • Optional Aesthetic Color Ring (sold separately)

3.2. Nkwadebe

The base fitting surface is smooth and lacks an adequate gripping surface for hand tightening. For secure installation, the inside of the barb is socketed with a 9mm hex Allen key pattern. It is highly recommended to use a 9mm Allen Key (purchased separately) to prevent discomfort or skin damage to the fingertips during installation.

3.3. Nzọụkwụ Nwụnye

  1. Kwadebe Tubing: It is mandatory to chamfer the edges of cut solid tubing to prevent O-ring damage during insertion. EKWB recommends a 0.5mm x 45° chamfer.
  2. Lubricate O-ring: Prior to installing the solid tube, wet the O-ring inside the fitting using a few drops of water. This aids in smooth insertion and prevents O-ring damage.
  3. Insert Tubing: Carefully insert the prepared solid tube into the fitting until it is fully seated.
  4. Tighten Compression Ring: Hand-tighten the compression locking ring. For final tightening, use a 9mm Allen Key in the barb's internal socket to ensure a secure, leak-proof connection. Do not overtighten.

3.4. Important Considerations

  • Do not use excessive force when inserting solid tubing or when attaching fitting barbs using the Allen Key.
  • This product should NOT be installed with any aluminum Fluid Gaming parts. Mixing metals can lead to galvanic corrosion.
  • Aesthetic rings are sold separately and can be screwed onto the fitting before the compression locking ring for visual customization.

4. .rụ ọrụ

Once properly installed and secured, the EK-Quantum Torque HDC-16 Compression Fitting functions as a reliable and leak-proof connection point for rigid tubing within your liquid cooling loop. Ensure all connections are tight and the entire system has undergone a thorough leak test before introducing coolant and powering on the computer system.

5. Nlekọta

Regular inspection of your liquid cooling system is recommended. Periodically check all fittings for any signs of wear, corrosion, or potential leaks. If disassembling the loop for cleaning or modifications, carefully loosen the compression ring and remove the tubing. Inspect the internal O-rings for any damage, such as cuts or flattening, and replace them if necessary to maintain a secure seal.

Clean the fittings with a soft cloth and a mild, non-abrasive cleaning solution. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials that could damage the nickel finish or the rubber O-rings.

6. Nchọpụta nsogbu

6.1. Ntupu

  • O-ring Seating: Ensure all O-rings are properly seated within the fitting and are not twisted or pinched.
  • Nkwadebe tubing: Verify that the tubing edges are correctly chamfered. Unchamfered or rough edges can cut the O-rings, leading to leaks.
  • Mkpuchi: Confirm that the compression rings are tightened securely. While a 9mm Allen Key is recommended for the barb, avoid overtightening, which can damage the fitting or tubing.
  • Ule ntapu: Always perform a thorough leak test with air pressure or a non-conductive liquid before introducing coolant and powering on the system.

6.2. Difficulty Inserting Tubing

  • mmanu mmanu: Ensure the O-ring is adequately lubricated with a few drops of water. Do not use oil-based lubricants.
  • Tubing Cut: Verify that the tubing is cut straight and the chamfer is smooth and even.
  • Ike: Apply gentle, firm pressure. Excessive force is not required and can damage the O-ring or tubing.
