Open the battery compartment cover on the back of the device. Insert the supplied batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-). Close the battery compartment cover securely.

  1. Ensure your arm is bare or has thin clothing.
  2. Place the cuff on your upper left arm, approximately 2-3 cm above the elbow joint.
  3. The air tube should run along the inside of your arm towards your palm.
  4. Tighten the cuff so it fits snugly but not too tightly. You should be able to fit two fingers under the cuff.
  5. Sit comfortably with your back supported and your feet flat on the floor. Rest your arm on a table so the cuff is at heart level.

3. Understanding Your Readings (WHO Classification)

The Beurer BM40 uses a colored scale to classify your blood pressure readings according to World Health Organization (WHO) guidelines. Refer to the table below for interpretation.

Use the '+' and '-' buttons to navigate through the stored readings. Each stored reading includes systolic pressure, diastolic pressure, pulse rate, and the date/time of measurement.
