After connecting all hoses and ensuring secure fittings, turn on your pond pump. Allow water to fill the filter completely. Once water flows out of the 'Out' port, plug in the filter's power cord to activate the UV-C lamp.
5.2 Monitoring UV-C Function
The filter head features an indicator light (refer to Figure 3) that illuminates when the UV-C lamp is operational. Regularly check this light to ensure the UV-C clarifier is functioning correctly. If the light is off, the UV-C lamp may need replacement or troubleshooting.

6.1 Easy Clean Technology
The CBF-15000 is equipped with an easy-clean mechanism. To clean the filter sponges without opening the unit, simply pull the handle up and push it down repeatedly. This action compresses the sponges, dislodging accumulated debris. Ensure the 'Dirty' port is open to allow waste water to drain.

6.2 Deep Cleaning and Media Replacement
For thorough cleaning or media replacement, disconnect power and open the filter unit. Remove and rinse the filter sponges and bio-balls with pond water (not tap water, to preserve beneficial bacteria). Replace media as needed. Reassemble the unit, ensuring all seals are correctly seated to prevent leaks.
6.3 UV-C Lamp Ndochi
UV-C lamp typically needs replacement every 8-12 months, or when the indicator light no longer illuminates. Disconnect power, carefully remove the old lamp, and install a new one according to the instructions provided with the replacement lamp. Avoid touching the glass of the new lamp jiri aka efu.
