Follow these steps to assemble your Fluval ProVac:

  1. Submerge the Unit: Fully submerge the suction end of the ProVac into the aquarium water. Ensure the motor unit remains above the water line if not fully waterproof (check product specifications for full waterproofing).

  6. Water Change Function (Optional): To perform a water change, remove the filter cartridge and attach a suitable hose (sold separately) to the water change adapter port. Direct the hose to a drain or bucket. The ProVac will then pump water out of the aquarium.
