This manual provides comprehensive instructions for the installation, operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of your PUR Horizontal Faucet Mount Water Filtration System. This system is designed to provide cleaner, filtered tap water by reducing various contaminants, including lead and microplastics.

Follow these steps to install your PUR Faucet Mount Water Filtration System:
1. Prepare the Faucet
- Remove the existing aerator from your faucet. If necessary, use a rubber jar opener for better grip.
- Identify your faucet's threading type:

2. Install the Filter Cartridge
- Unscrew and remove the back cover of the PUR Faucet Mount Device.
- Unwrap the new PUR filter cartridge.
- Insert the filter cartridge into the device, ensuring it is oriented correctly. A loose fit is normal.
- Replace the back cover onto the device and twist until secure.

3. Attach the Device to the Faucet
- First, attempt to attach the PUR device directly to your faucet by finger-tightening the threaded mounting nut counter-clockwise. Ensure the device is level for a proper seal.
- If the device does not fit directly, select the appropriate adapter (Adapter 1 for external threading, Adapter 2 or 3 for internal threading). Insert the provided washer into the adapter.
- Screw the adapter onto your faucet, then attach the PUR device to the adapter, finger-tightening until secure.

Your PUR Faucet Mount System allows you to easily switch between filtered and unfiltered water using the on/off lever.
- Unfiltered Water: Position the on/off lever to allow water to flow directly from the faucet spout. This is suitable for washing dishes and general cleaning.
- Mmiri nzacha: Move the on/off lever to redirect water through the filter. Filtered water will dispense from the dedicated filter spout. A green light will flash approximately 6 times when the filter is in use, indicating proper function.
- Mwepụ mbụ: Before first use, or after changing a filter, run cold water through the filtration channel for 5 minutes to flush the cartridge. It is normal to see cloudy water or hear air being pushed through the filter during this initial flush.

The filter is certified to last for up to 100 gallons or for 3 months of regular use. The filter change light will notify you when it's time to replace the filter:
- A green light indicates the filter is working correctly.
- A red light indicates the filter needs to be changed.
To replace the filter, follow the steps outlined in the "Install the Filter Cartridge" section of this manual.
