- Locate the battery compartment cover on the back of each walkie talkie unit.

Each walkie talkie comes with a removable belt clip. To attach, slide the clip into the slot on the back of the unit until it locks into place. To remove, lift the tab on the clip and slide it upwards.

- To transmit (talk): Press and hold the PTT (Push-To- Talk) button located on the side of the unit. Speak clearly into the microphone. Release the PTT button when finished speaking.
- To receive: Ensure the PTT button is not pressed. The unit will automatically receive transmissions on the selected channel.

To scan for active channels:

- The radio will automatically scan through all 22 channels and stop on any active channel.
