The Aiphone LEF-10S is an Open Voice Selective Call Master Intercom designed for surface mounting. It facilitates audio communication with visitors at a door and with other rooms within a building. This master intercom supports connection with up to 10 Aiphone LAF and LEF Series master intercoms, and LA, LE, or LS Series door and sub-master intercoms.
Key features include an All-Call button for broadcasting messages and a Door Release button for remote access control.

2. Ozi nchekwa
Please read and understand all instructions before installation and operation. Failure to follow these instructions may result in electric shock, fire, or damage to the product.
- Nchekwa Eletriki: Ensure all power is disconnected before performing any wiring or installation procedures. Installation should be performed by qualified personnel in accordance with all local electrical codes.
- Ọnọdụ gburugburu: Do not expose the intercom to extreme temperatures, humidity, or direct water contact.
- Ijikwa: Handle the unit with care to prevent physical damage.
3. Nwụnye
The LEF-10S master intercom is designed for surface mounting.
3.1 Na-arịgo
- Select a suitable location for the master intercom, ensuring it is easily accessible and within reach of necessary wiring.
- Use the provided mounting hardware to securely attach the intercom unit to a desktop or wall surface.
3.2 Waya
The system requires hardwiring and is powered by a 12V power supply (e.g., Aiphone PS-1225UL, sold separately).
- Ịnye ọkụ: Connect the 12V power supply to the designated terminals on the LEF-10S.
- Njikọ intercom: Connect the LEF-10S to door, sub-master, or other master intercoms using appropriate wiring. Maximum distance from door/sub to master is 650 ft. using 22 AWG wire, or 1,600 ft. using 18 AWG wire.
- Door Strike Connection: For door access control, connect an electric strike (sold separately) via an Aiphone RY-PA relay (sold separately). Each intercom in the system must be connected to an Aiphone RY-PA relay.
- All-Call Functionality: To enable the All-Call broadcast feature, connect an Aiphone BG-10C adapter (sold separately) to the system.
- Ngwa mgbakwunye: The RY-PA relay can also connect other devices such as CCTV cameras and lights (sold separately).
4. Nhazi
4.1 Ike mbido
Once all wiring is complete and secure, connect the 12V power supply to an electrical outlet. The intercom system will power on.
4.2 Mgbanwe olu
The chime and audio volume can be adjusted using the dedicated controls on the master intercom unit. Adjust to a comfortable listening level.
5. Ọrụ
5.1 Ịkpọ oku
- Press one of the 10 selectable buttons corresponding to the desired door or sub-master intercom. An LED indicator will illuminate.

5.2 Ịnata oku
When a call is received from a sub-master intercom, a momentary chime will sound, and the corresponding LED indicator above the selectable button will illuminate for 20 seconds.
- Press the illuminated button to establish communication.
- Pịa ma jide Tinye-okwu button to speak, and release to listen.
5.3 All-Call Function
If an Aiphone BG-10C adapter is connected, the All-Oku button allows you to broadcast a message to every intercom connected to the system.

5.4 Door Release Function
If an electric strike is connected via an RY-PA relay, the Mwepụta ọnụ ụzọ button allows you to remotely unlock the entrance for a visitor.
- Establish communication with the door intercom.
- Pịa Mwepụta ọnụ ụzọ button to activate the electric strike.
5.5 Privacy Function
Nke Nzuzo button prevents other intercom users in the system from overhearing a conversation with another intercom, ensuring confidentiality.
- During a conversation, press the Nzuzo button to activate privacy mode.
- Pịa Nzuzo button again to deactivate it.
5.6 Monitoring Function
The master intercom allows you to listen to audio transmissions from a specified door or sub-master intercom at any time.
- Select the desired door or sub-master intercom button.
- The master intercom will monitor audio from that location without requiring the Tinye-okwu button to be held.
5.7 Silencing Chime Alerts
To temporarily silence incoming call chime alerts, switch the power button to the 'off' position. This will only silence the chime, not power down the unit entirely.

To clean the intercom unit, gently wipe the surface with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners, solvents, or excessive moisture, as these can damage the unit.

If you experience issues with your Aiphone LEF-10S intercom, consider the following common troubleshooting steps:

- Door Release Not Working: Confirm that the Aiphone RY-PA relay and electric strike are correctly installed and wired. Check the power supply to the electric strike.
- All-Call Not Working: Ensure the Aiphone BG-10C adapter is correctly installed and connected to the system.
