4. Ntọala na nwụnye
Refer to the technical diagram below for mechanical specifications, recommended mounting direction, and wiring details.

Figure 1: Technical Diagram of LPV-60-12 Power Supply
4.1 Nkọwapụta igwe
The power supply measures 162.5 mm in length, 42.5 mm in width, and 32 mm in height. It includes mounting holes with a diameter of 3.6 mm for secure panel mounting. The input wires (AC/N Blue, AC/L Brown) are UL1015 18AWG, and the output wires (+V Red, -V Black) are UL1007 16AWG, both approximately 600mm long.
4.2 Recommended Mounting Direction
The unit should be mounted horizontally on a flat surface to ensure optimal heat dissipation and performance. Refer to the 'Recommend Mounting Direction' section in Figure 1 for visual guidance.
4.3 Ntuziaka waya
Ensure power is disconnected before making any connections.
- Njikọ ntinye: Connect the AC input wires to your standard electrical outlet. The blue wire (AC/N) is for neutral, and the brown wire (AC/L) is for live.
- Njikọ mmepụta: Connect the DC output wires to your 12V DC device. The red wire (+V) is for positive, and the black wire (-V) is for negative.
- Njikọ echekwara Ensure all wire connections are tight and properly insulated to prevent short circuits.
5. Ntuziaka ọrụ
Once properly installed and wired, the LPV-60-12 power supply operates automatically. Apply AC power to the input, and the unit will provide a stable 12V DC output. No user adjustments are required for standard operation. Ensure the connected load does not exceed 60W to maintain optimal performance and longevity.
6. Nlekọta
The LPV-60-12 power supply is designed for maintenance-free operation due to its fully encapsulated and sealed design. Regular maintenance is generally not required. However, consider the following:
- Nyocha oge: Periodically inspect the unit and its wiring for any signs of damage, wear, or loose connections.
- Nhicha: If installed in a dusty environment, gently wipe the exterior of the unit with a dry cloth to remove any accumulated dust. Do not use liquids or abrasive cleaners.
- Nyocha gburugburu: Ensure the operating environment remains within the specified temperature range and that ventilation is not obstructed.
7. Nchọpụta nsogbu
If the power supply is not functioning as expected, perform the following basic checks:
- Enweghị Ike Mmepụta:
- Verify that the AC input power is connected and active.
- Check all input and output wiring connections for looseness or damage.
- Ensure the load connected to the power supply does not exceed its 60W capacity. Disconnect the load and test the power supply independently if unsure.
- Ọrụ na-adịte aka:
- Check for unstable AC input voltage.
- Ensure the ambient temperature is within the operating range and that the unit is not overheating. Refer to the derating curve in Figure 1.
- Mmepụta Voltage Okwu:
- Confirm the connected device requires 12V DC.
- Ọ bụrụ na mmepụta voltage is significantly lower than 12V, the unit may be overloaded or faulty.
If troubleshooting steps do not resolve the issue, contact qualified service personnel or MEAN WELL customer support.
8. Njirimara arụmọrụ
The technical diagram (Figure 1) provides important performance characteristics:
8.1 Ihe eserese
The 'Block Diagram' section in Figure 1 illustrates the internal architecture of the power supply, including the EMI filter, rectifiers, power switching, PWM control, detection circuit, and output voltage protection (O.V.P.) and overload protection (O.L.P.) mechanisms. The switching frequency (fosc) is 65KHz.
8.2 Usoro Derating
The 'Derating Curve' in Figure 1 shows the relationship between the maximum permissible load percentage and the ambient temperature. It indicates how the power supply's maximum output capacity decreases as the ambient temperature rises, especially above 40°C for 230VAC input and above 30°C for 115VAC input. Operating within the shaded region ensures optimal performance and lifespan.
8.3 Static Characteristics
The 'Static Characteristics' graph in Figure 1 displays the load percentage relative to the input voltage at 60Hz. It demonstrates that the power supply maintains 100% load capacity across a wide input voltage range, typically from approximately 100V to 264V, ensuring stable operation under varying input conditions.
