- Align the 7.4V 1700mAh Li-ion battery pack with the grooves on the back of the radio.

3. Dual Band, Dual Frequency, Dual Display, Dual Standby
- The KG-UV6D can display and monitor two different frequencies (VHF/UHF or UHF/VHF) simultaneously.
- Pịa A/B button to switch the active VFO (the one you will transmit on).
- The radio will continuously check both displayed frequencies for activity.
4. VOX Transmission
- VOX (Voice Operated Transmit) allows hands-free transmission.
- To activate/deactivate VOX, press MENU, navigate to the VOX setting (usually menu item 7), press MENU again, select the desired sensitivity level (1-9, 9 being most sensitive) or OFF, then press MENU iji gosi na ỤZỌ ỌPỤPỤ.
5. CTCSS / DCS Scan
- CTCSS (Continuous Tone-Coded Squelch System) and DCS (Digital Coded Squelch) are used to filter out unwanted signals.

6. DTMF Encoding Function
- DTMF (Dual-Tone Multi-Frequency) tones can be used for remote control or accessing repeater functions.
- To send DTMF tones, hold down the PTT button and press the corresponding number keys on the keypad.
7. Auto / Manual Keypad Lock
- To manually lock/unlock the keypad, press and hold the # igodo.
- Auto keypad lock can be enabled in the menu settings to prevent accidental key presses.
8. FM Broadcast Band Receive
- The radio can receive FM broadcast radio (76-108 MHz).
- Pịa FM button (if available, or through menu) to enter FM radio mode.
9. Repeater Offset Modes
- To communicate via repeaters, set the appropriate offset frequency and direction (plus/minus).
- Access the offset settings through the MENU.
10. Wire Cloning Function
- The radio supports wire cloning to copy settings from one KG-UV6D to another.
