3. Connecting the Harness
- Take the IMPULSE wire harness and your aftermarket stereo's wire harness.
- Carefully match each wire by color and function. For example, connect the yellow wire from the IMPULSE harness to the yellow wire of your aftermarket stereo harness.
- Use appropriate connectors (crimp caps, solder, or heat shrink connectors) to make secure and insulated connections. Ensure no bare wires are exposed.
- Repeat this process for all corresponding wires. If your aftermarket stereo has wires not present on the IMPULSE harness (e.g., parking brake wire, reverse wire), refer to your stereo's manual for their connection.
4. Connecting to Vehicle and Testing
- Once all connections between the IMPULSE harness and the aftermarket stereo harness are complete, plug the vehicle-specific connector of the IMPULSE harness into the factory wiring harness in your Ford F-150.
- Connect the antenna cable to your new stereo.
