The buttons will blink while heating up (approximately 25 seconds). Once stable, place a container (at least 0.5 liters) under the coffee outlet. Press the Lungo button to run a rinse cycle without a capsule. Repeat this process two to three times to clean the system.

5.1. Making Espresso or Lungo
- Ensure the water tank is filled with fresh drinking water.
- Turn on the machine by pressing either the Espresso or Lungo button. Wait for the buttons to stop blinking, indicating the machine is ready.
- Lift the lever completely.
- Insert a Nespresso capsule into the capsule compartment.
- Close the lever firmly.
- Place a cup under the coffee outlet. For larger cups, the drip tray can be folded up.
- Pịa Espresso button (small cup icon) for a short coffee (approximately 40 ml) or the Lungo button (large cup icon) for a longer coffee (approximately 110 ml). The coffee flow will stop automatically.
- After brewing, lift the lever to eject the used capsule into the capsule container.
Programming Coffee Volume: To customize the coffee volume, press and hold the desired button (Espresso or Lungo) while brewing. Release the button when the desired volume is reached. The machine will remember this setting for future brews.
5.2. Using the Aeroccino Milk Frother
The integrated Aeroccino is designed for preparing hot or cold milk froth for various coffee recipes.
- Ensure the Aeroccino is clean and dry.
- Insert the whisk into the frother. Use the spring whisk for frothing, or the plain whisk for hot milk without froth.
- Pour fresh, cold milk into the Aeroccino. Do not fill above the maximum froth level indicator for frothing, or the maximum hot milk level indicator for hot milk.
- Place the lid on the Aeroccino.
- Press the button on the Aeroccino base:
- Press briefly for hot milk froth (red light).
- Press and hold for approximately 2 seconds for cold milk froth (blue light).
- The frother will automatically stop when the milk is ready.
- Pour the frothed milk into your prepared coffee.

6.2. Descaling

- After the descaling solution has run through, rinse the machine thoroughly by running several cycles with fresh water.

- No coffee flow: Check if the water tank is filled. Ensure a capsule is correctly inserted and the lever is closed. Descale the machine if necessary.
- Coffee is not hot enough: Preheat your cup by running a Lungo cycle without a capsule. Descale the machine if necessary.
- Aeroccino not frothing milk: Ensure the whisk is correctly inserted. Use fresh, cold milk. Clean the frother thoroughly.
- Machine leaking: Check the water tank for proper seating. Ensure the drip tray is not overflowing. If leaking persists, contact Nespresso Customer Support.
- Buttons blinking irregularly: This may indicate an error. Try unplugging the machine for a few minutes and plugging it back in. If the issue persists, contact Nespresso Customer Support.
