  1. LFE Input (Recommended for Home Theater Receivers):
    • Connect a single RCA cable from the LFE or Subwoofer Pre-Out jack on your A/V receiver to the LFE Input on the XLS-12S.
    • In this configuration, the receiver manages the crossover frequency, so set the subwoofer's Variable LPF Crossover to its maximum setting (150 Hz) or bypass if available.
  2. Line Level Inputs (Stereo RCA):
    • Connect RCA cables from the stereo pre-out jacks of your receiver/pre-amplifier to the Line Level Inputs (L&R) on the XLS-12S.
    • Adjust the Variable LPF Crossover on the subwoofer to blend with your main speakers.

  1. Gbaa mbọ hụ na njikọ niile echekwara.
  2. Turn on your audio receiver/amplifier first, then switch on the XLS-12S using the Power Switch. The Auto-On Sensing feature will activate the subwoofer when an audio signal is present.
  3. Start with the Level Control set to its minimum position.
  4. Play some audio content with significant bass.
  5. Slowly increase the Level Control on the subwoofer until the bass output blends smoothly with your main speakers. Avoid setting the level too high, which can result in boomy or unnatural bass.
  6. Ndozigharị crossover: If using Line Level or Speaker Level inputs, adjust the Variable LPF Crossover. A good starting point is typically around 80 Hz to 100 Hz, but this depends on the low-frequency capabilities of your main speakers. Adjust until the transition between the subwoofer and main speakers is seamless.
  7. Mgbanwe Polarity: Experiment with the 0° and 180° settings. Listen for the setting that provides the most impactful and coherent bass response at your listening position. This often involves listening to a bass-heavy track and choosing the setting that sounds louder or more defined.

6.2 Auto-On Sensing

The XLS-12S is equipped with an Auto-On Sensing feature. When the main power switch is ON, the subwoofer will automatically detect an incoming audio signal and power on. If no audio signal is detected for a period, the subwoofer will enter a low-power standby mode. This feature helps conserve energy.
