- Always ensure proper ventilation when working with LP gas.
- Never use oil or grease on regulator or cylinder connections.
- Inspect the regulator and connections for damage before each use.
- Use only with compatible LP gas cylinders and connections.
- Do not modify the regulator in any way.

2. Ntọala na nwụnye
Follow these steps for safe installation of the regulator to an LP gas cylinder.
- Ensure the cylinder valve is closed and the regulator adjusting screw is fully backed out (turned counter-clockwise until loose).
- Inspect the cylinder valve outlet and regulator inlet connection (CGA-510) for any damage or debris.
- Connect the regulator inlet nut to the cylinder valve outlet. The CGA-510 connection is designed for LP gas. Tighten securely with a wrench.
- Connect the outlet hose (not included) to the regulator's 9/16 In.-18 M LH outlet connection. Ensure this connection is also tight.
- Perform a leak test using a suitable leak detection solution on all connections before opening the cylinder valve.

Foto 1: ESAB SR-461B-510 LPG Cylinder Gas Regulator. This image displays the brass regulator body, two pressure gauges, and a T-handle adjusting screw. The inlet connection (CGA-510) is visible on the right, designed for LP gas cylinders. The left gauge, which in this image shows a scale for Acetylene (0-15 psi), would indicate the delivery pressure for LPG. The right gauge indicates the cylinder pressure (0-400 psi).
3. Ntuziaka ọrụ
Once the regulator is securely installed and leak-tested, follow these steps to operate.
- Slowly open the cylinder valve. The inlet gauge (right gauge, 0-400 psi) will indicate the cylinder pressure.
- Turn the regulator adjusting screw (T-handle) clockwise to increase the delivery pressure. The delivery pressure gauge (left gauge, 0-60 psig) will show the regulated pressure. Adjust to the desired working pressure, typically within the 2 to 40 psig range for this model.
- Once the desired pressure is set, you can begin using the LP gas.
- To shut down, first close the cylinder valve.
- Allow the gas in the system to bleed off until both gauges read zero.
- Turn the regulator adjusting screw counter-clockwise until it is loose to relieve spring tension.
The regulator is designed for a flow rate of approximately 2500 SCFH (Standard Cubic Feet per Hour).
4. Nlekọta
Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and safe operation of your regulator.
- Nyocha: Before each use, visually inspect the regulator for any signs of damage, such as dents, cracks, or worn threads. Check gauges for proper function.
- Nhicha: Keep the regulator clean and free from oil, grease, or other contaminants. Use a clean, dry cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals.
- Nnwale mkpofu: Periodically perform a leak test on all connections, even if no issues are suspected.
- Nchekwa: When not in use, store the regulator in a clean, dry place, disconnected from the cylinder.
Do not attempt to repair the regulator yourself. Refer all repairs to qualified personnel or contact ESAB customer support.

- Enweghị usoro gas:
- Ensure the cylinder valve is fully open.
- Check if the cylinder contains gas.
- Verify the regulator adjusting screw is turned clockwise to set a delivery pressure.
- Inspect for blockages in the hose or equipment.
- Pressure Not Holding:
- Perform a leak test on all connections (cylinder, regulator inlet, regulator outlet, hose).
- Gbaa mbọ hụ na agbachiela njikọ niile nke ọma.
- If leaks persist or the regulator itself is suspected, discontinue use and contact support.
- Inaccurate Gauge Readings:
- Gauges are factory calibrated. If readings appear consistently incorrect, the gauge may be faulty. Discontinue use and contact support.
For issues not covered here, or if troubleshooting steps do not resolve the problem, contact ESAB customer support.
