Ntuziaka ọrụ
The 3M Scotch-Weld 2216 Epoxy Adhesive is designed to cure at room temperature, providing high-strength bonds.
- Ngwa: Apply the thoroughly mixed adhesive to each surface you intend to bond. For highest strength, consider adding a few grains of fine particles (like sand) to ensure an adequate thickness of adhesive, especially for critical applications.
- Nkwekọrịta: Bring the prepared surfaces together and apply pressure. Clamp the parts together or apply weight to maintain contact during the curing process.
- Ngwọta: Allow the adhesive to cure for approximately 24 hours at room temperature to achieve full strength. Handling strength is typically achieved in about 10 hours.
This adhesive can be used to bond a wide range of materials including rubber, metal, wood, most plastics, and masonry products. It offers good environmental resistance and is excellent for cryogenic bonding applications.
Nlekọta na Nchekwa
Store the 3M Scotch-Weld 2216 Epoxy Adhesive in its original packaging in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Ensure tubes are tightly sealed after each use to prevent premature curing or contamination.
Proper storage helps maintain the product's shelf life and performance.
Nchọpụta nsogbu
- Adhesion na-adịghị mma: Ensure surfaces were properly cleaned and abraded before application. Verify the correct mix ratio of Part A and Part B. Ensure thorough mixing until a uniform color is achieved.
- Slow Curing/No Cure: Check that the mix ratio was accurate and that the components were thoroughly mixed. Ensure the ambient temperature is within the recommended range for curing (room temperature).
- Excessive Bubbles: Mix the adhesive slowly and deliberately to minimize air entrapment.
