The Thomson ROC 550 can be programmed to control various television sets. There are typically two methods for programming:
Method A: Direct Code Entry

- Locate the brand-specific code for your TV in the provided code list (usually a separate booklet or online resource).
- Pịa ma jide SET button on the remote until the indicator light illuminates.
- Enter the 3-digit code for your TV brand using the number buttons.
- If the code is valid, the indicator light will turn off. Test the remote by pressing the IKE button. If the TV turns off, the programming was successful.
- If the TV does not respond, repeat the process with the next code listed for your brand.
Method B: Auto Code Search
- Gbanwuo TV ịchọrọ ịchịkwa.
- Pịa ma jide SET button until the indicator light illuminates.
- Pịa IKE button once. The indicator light will flash, indicating the remote is searching for a code.
- Point the remote at the TV and wait. The remote will cycle through codes. When the TV turns off, immediately press the SET button to save the code.
- Test the remote's functions (e.g., volume, channel). If all functions work, programming is complete. If not, repeat the auto-search process.
