The Nikon ES-1 52mm Slide Copy Adapter is designed for duplicating 35mm film slides. The ES-1 adapter is designed to screw directly onto macro lenses with a 52mm filter thread. For lenses with different filter thread sizes, a step-up or step-down adapter ring may be required (not included).

Inserting a 35mm Slide
- Hold the ES-1 adapter with the translucent slide holder facing upwards.
- Gently slide a mounted 35mm slide into the slot between the plastic back and the metal mounts. Ensure the slide is oriented correctly for copying (e.g., emulsion side towards the camera, or as desired for final image orientation).
- Visually center and level the slide within the holder. The adapter's design allows for manual adjustment of the slide's position.
Camera Settings and Photography
