This manual provides detailed instructions for the installation, operation, and maintenance of your Wallpad L3-BG-DIY modular switch and socket system. This system allows for flexible customization of electrical outlets and switches to suit various international standards and functional needs. Please read this manual thoroughly before installation and use to ensure safe and efficient operation.
Ngwaahịa gafereview
The Wallpad L3-BG-DIY system features a range of modular components, including various types of switches, dimmers, fan controls, and international sockets (US, EU, French, Brazil, Italian, USB, Data, TV, Satellite). These modules are designed to be combined within standard frames to create custom wall plates.

The system uses a modular sizing convention:
- M (Module): Refers to the size unit of individual components.
- Otu òtù: Refers to the number of buttons on a switch. For example, a 1 Gang switch has 1 button, a 2 Gang switch has 2 buttons, and a 3 Gang switch has 3 buttons.
- Ụzọ: Describes how a switch controls a lamp.
- 1 Ụzọ: One switch controls one lamp.
- 2 Ụzọ: Two switches control one lamp together. Note that a 2-way switch can also function as a 1-way switch, but a 1-way switch cannot be used as a 2-way switch.
- Mgbanwe etiti: Used in conjunction with two 2-way switches to control a single lamp from three or more locations.
Some switches include indicators: Switch A features a fluorescent indicator, while Switch B and Switch C are equipped with LED indicators.
Nwụnye na Nhazi
The Wallpad L3-BG-DIY system requires separate purchase of frames and individual functional modules. Ensure you have selected the appropriate frame size (e.g., 6M, 9M, 12M) and the desired modules before beginning installation.

A standard rectangular mounting box is required for installation. The screw distance is adjustable for ease of fitting.

Proper wiring is crucial for the safe and correct operation of your Wallpad modules. Always ensure power is disconnected before performing any wiring. Consult a qualified electrician if you are unsure about any steps.

Ntuziaka waya:
- Ike Socket: Connect the Null Wire (typically blue) to 'N', Ground Wire (typically green/yellow) to 'T', and Live Wire (typically red/brown) to 'L'.
- 1 Ụzọ Ngbanwe: For controlling one lamp from one location. Connect the Live Wire to 'L' and the switched live to 'L1'.
- 2 Ụzọ Ngbanwe: For controlling one lamp from two locations. Connect the main Live Wire to 'L' on the first switch. Connect 'L1' and 'L2' from the first switch to 'L1' and 'L2' on the second switch, respectively. The switched live to the lamp connects from 'L' on the second switch.
- Mgbanwe etiti: For controlling one lamp from three or more locations. This requires two 2-way switches and one intermediate switch. The intermediate switch connects between the two 2-way switches, typically using connections LB1, LB2, L1, L2 as shown in the diagram.

Operating your Wallpad modules is straightforward:
- Switches (1, 2, 3, 4 Gang): Press the button(s) to toggle the connected light or appliance on/off. Switches with fluorescent or LED indicators will illuminate when the switch is in the 'on' position.
- Fan Dimmer: Rotate the knob or use the designated controls to adjust the speed of the connected fan.
- Ngbanwe dimmer: Rotate the knob or use the designated controls to adjust the brightness of the connected light.
- Sockets (US, EU, French, Brazil, Italian, Universal): Insert the appropriate plug into the socket to provide power to your devices.
- USB Data Outlet: Connect your USB-compatible devices for charging.
- Data/TV/Satellite Outlets: Connect the respective cables for network, television, or satellite signals.
Nlekọta
To ensure the longevity and proper functioning of your Wallpad products, follow these maintenance guidelines:
- Nhicha: Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe the surface of the switches and sockets. For stubborn marks, a slightly damp cloth with mild soap can be used, followed by immediate drying. Avoid abrasive cleaners, solvents, or harsh chemicals, as these can damage the brushed aluminum finish or plastic components.
- Nchekwa: Always disconnect power to the circuit at the main breaker before cleaning or performing any maintenance that involves opening the wall plate or accessing wiring.
- Nyocha: Periodically check for any loose connections, cracks, or damage to the modules or frame. If any damage is found, discontinue use and replace the affected component.

If you encounter issues with your Wallpad modular system, consider the following common problems and solutions:
- Light/Appliance Not Turning On:
- Lelee ma ọ bụrụ na agbaji sekit sekit.
- Ensure the light bulb or appliance is functional.
- Verify that the switch is correctly wired according to the diagrams (see Figure 7).
- For 2-way or intermediate switches, ensure all switches in the circuit are functioning correctly and wired in sequence.
- Socket Not Providing Power:
- Lelee ma ọ bụrụ na agbaji sekit sekit.
- Ensure the device being plugged in is functional.
- Verify that the socket is correctly wired (Live, Neutral, Ground) according to the diagrams (see Figure 7).
- Dimmer/Fan Control Not Working:
- Ensure the connected light or fan is compatible with dimming/speed control.
- Check wiring connections for the dimmer/fan control module.
If problems persist after checking these points, it is recommended to consult a qualified electrician.

- Modular Purchase: Remember that the frames and individual functional modules (keys) are sold separately. Ensure you purchase both the frame and the specific modules you need for your desired configuration.
- 2-Way Switch Functionality: A 2-way switch can be used for both 1-way and 2-way control. However, a 1-way switch cannot be adapted for 2-way control. Plan your wiring accordingly.
- Wiring polarity: Always ensure correct wiring polarity (Live, Neutral, Ground) for all modules, especially sockets, to prevent electrical hazards. If you encounter terms like 'false poles' or are unsure about wiring, consult a professional.
