1. Hard Drive Installation (Tool-less Design)
The Yottamaster PS500C3 enclosure features a tool-less design for easy installation of 2.5-inch and 3.5-inch SATA HDDs/SSDs. For 2.5-inch drives, screws are provided for secure fastening.
- Mepee ihe mkpuchi ahụ: Press the spring door on the front panel and remove the hard disk carrier(s).
- Insert Hard Drive: Place your 2.5-inch or 3.5-inch SATA HDD/SSD into the bracket. For 2.5-inch hard disks, use the provided screws to fix them securely.
- Reinsert Carrier: Put the bracket with the hard disk back into the hard disk cabinet and gently push it in until it clicks into place.
- Mechie ihe mkpuchi: Close the enclosure door. The installation is now complete.

2. Connecting to Power and Host Device
Connect the enclosure to a power source and your computer using the provided cables.
- Njikọ ike: Connect the power adapter to the DC IN port on the rear of the enclosure, then plug it into a wall outlet.
- Njikọ data: Connect the USB Type-A to USB Type-C cable from the enclosure's USB 3.1 Type-C port to an available USB port on your computer (Windows, Mac, or Linux).
- Ike Na: Press the power button on the rear of the enclosure to turn it on.

3. Ịtọ ọnọdụ RAID
The Yottamaster PS500C3 supports multiple RAID modes. Important: Setting or changing the RAID mode will clear the contents of the hard disk. Please back up important data before using the old hard disk.
The RAID mode is configured using DIP switches located on the rear panel. Refer to the diagram below for specific switch settings for each RAID mode.

- RAID 0 (Fast Speed): Switches 1, 2, 3, 4: DOWN – DOWN – DOWN – UP
- RAID 1/10: Switches 1, 2, 3, 4: DOWN – UP – DOWN – UP
- RAID 3: Switches 1, 2, 3, 4: DOWN – UP – UP – UP
- RAID 5 (Comprehensive): Switches 1, 2, 3, 4: UP – DOWN – UP – UP
- Span (Big) / JBOD: Switches 1, 2, 3, 4: DOWN – UP – DOWN – UP
- Normal / Clear (PM Mode): Switches 1, 2, 3, 4: UP – UP – UP – UP
After setting the DIP switches, press the 'SET' button to apply the changes. Power cycle the device if necessary.

1. Gbanyụọ / gbanyụọ
To power on the enclosure, press the power button on the rear panel. The LED indicator on the front will illuminate. To power off, press and hold the power button until the device shuts down.

2. Nyefee data
Once connected and powered on, your computer should recognize the enclosure as an external storage device. You can then drag and drop files to and from the enclosure. The USB 3.1 Gen 1 interface supports transfer speeds of up to 5Gbps, allowing for fast and efficient data movement.

3. RAID Mode Functionality
Understanding the different RAID modes is crucial for optimizing your storage. Here's a brief overview:

- RAID 0 (Fast Speed): Requires at least two disks. Combines disks into one logical unit, doubling the theoretical speed of a single disk. No data redundancy.
- RAID 1 (High Security): Requires two disks. Mirrors data across both disks, providing high data redundancy. Capacity is limited to the size of one disk.
- RAID 3 (Fast and Safe Reading): Requires at least 3 disks. Uses one disk for error correction data. If one disk is damaged, data can be recovered. Requires disks of the same capacity.
- RAID 5 (Comprehensive): Requires 3-5 disks. Combines RAID 0 (speed) and RAID 1 (security) features. Offers good read-write ability and security.
- RAID 10 (RAID 0 + RAID 1 Combination): Requires 4-5 disks. Combines the high speed of RAID 0 with the security of RAID 1.
- Clone: Creates an exact copy of one disk onto another.
- JBOD (SPAN) (Large Capacity): Combines multiple disks into a single large logical volume. Data is written sequentially across disks. If one disk fails, all data on the JBOD volume may be lost.
- PM (Normal) Mode (Single Disk Reading): Each hard disk is read independently, similar to mobile hard disks. Other hard disks are not affected if one fails.
Always ensure you understand the implications of each RAID mode on data redundancy and performance before configuration.
4. Sleep Energy Saving
The enclosure is designed with a sleep energy-saving feature. If there is no read-write activity for 10 minutes, the device will automatically enter a sleep state. This prevents the hard disk from invalid reading and writing for prolonged periods, reduces noise, and conserves power.

1. Sistemụ jụrụ oyi
The Yottamaster PS500C3 features an 80mm silent fan and a convective heat dissipation design to ensure optimal operating temperatures for your hard drives. This aluminum alloy body aids in effective heat dissipation.

To maintain efficient cooling, ensure the fan vents on the rear of the enclosure are not obstructed. Regularly clean any dust accumulation from the vents using compressed air.
2. Atụmatụ nchekwa
The enclosure is equipped with multiple safeguards to protect your data and the device itself:

- Nchekwa na-adị ugbu a: Prevents damage from excessive electrical current.
- Nchekwa ekpo oke ọkụ: Monitors internal temperature and takes action to prevent overheating.
- Voltage Nchedo: Nchedo megide voltagna mgbanwe.
- Nchekwa sekit dị mkpụmkpụ: Protects against electrical shorts.
