Before first use, fully charge the 20V 4.0Ah lithium-ion battery. Connect the charger to a standard power outlet and insert the battery. The indicator light on the charger will show the charging status. Refer to the charger's specific instructions for detailed charging procedures and times.

  2. Remove the chain and sprocket cover using the provided wrench.
  3. Carefully place the chain around the sprocket and guide bar, ensuring the cutting edges are facing the correct direction.
  4. Reattach the chain and sprocket cover, but do not fully tighten the nuts yet.
  5. Adjust the chain tension using the tensioning screw until the chain is snug but can still be pulled freely around the guide bar by hand. There should be no slack on the underside of the guide bar.
  6. Once tensioned, fully tighten the nuts on the chain and sprocket cover.

3. Filling the Oil Reservoir (Self-Lubricating System)

The saw features a self-lubricating system to ensure smooth operation and extend chain life. Fill the oil reservoir with appropriate bar and chain oil (not included) using the provided refillable oil bottle. Regularly check the oil level during use and refill as needed.

  1. Ensure the battery is securely inserted into the saw.
  2. Grip the saw firmly with one hand.
  3. Press and hold the safety lock button (located near the trigger).
  4. While holding the safety lock button, squeeze the trigger to start the saw. Release the safety lock button once the saw is running.

  • Always ensure stable footing and a clear work area.
  • Position the saw so that the guide bar is perpendicular to the branch being cut.
  • Allow the saw to reach full speed before engaging the chain with the wood.
  • Apply light, consistent pressure. Do not force the saw through the wood; let the chain do the work.
  • Be aware of kickback, especially when the tip of the guide bar contacts the wood.
  • For larger branches, make an undercut first to prevent pinching and splintering.
  • The saw is designed for branches up to 5 inches thick. Do not attempt to cut larger diameters.
