The Tornado TCM-5431-GS is a semi-automatic espresso machine featuring an integrated conical burr grinder, allowing you to grind fresh coffee beans directly before brewing. It also supports pre-ground coffee. Key components include:

Melite

- Jupụta tank mmiri: Fill the water tank with fresh, cold, filtered water up to the MAX line. Place it securely back into the machine.

- Pịa Ike button to turn on the machine. The indicator lights will flash as the machine heats up.
- Once the lights are solid, place a large container under the portafilter holder (without the portafilter) and under the steam wand.
- Pịa Mmiri ọkụ button to dispense hot water. Let it run for about 30 seconds to flush the system.
- Tụgharịa Uzuoku knob to release steam for about 15 seconds to prime the steam wand.
- Turn the steam knob back to the OFF position.
- Repeat the hot water and steam steps once more.

1. Ịkụ Agwa Kọfị
- Jupụta Bean Hopper: Open the lid of the bean hopper and fill it with fresh, roasted coffee beans.
- Họrọ nha nha: Rotate the grind size selector to your desired fineness. A finer grind is generally preferred for espresso (e.g., settings 5-10). Experiment to find the best setting for your beans.
- Tinye nzacha Portafilter: Place the desired filter basket (single or double) into the portafilter. Lock the portafilter into the grinder cradle.
- Ghichaa: Pịa Mike button. The grinder will dispense coffee into the portafilter. Press again to stop. Ensure the portafilter is filled but not overflowing.
- Tamp: Remove the portafilter from the grinder cradle. Use the provided tamper to press the ground coffee firmly and evenly. A consistent tamp is crucial for good espresso extraction.
2. Espresso ime ihe
- Tinye nzacha Portafilter: Mgbe e gweri ma tamping, lock the portafilter firmly into the group head (the brewing area).
- Iko ebe: Tinye iko espresso gị n'elu tray mmiri ahụ kpọmkwem n'okpuru oghere portafilter.
- Họrọ ogbugba: Pịa Naanị otu or Ugboro abụọ button. The machine will pre-infuse the coffee, then begin brewing.
- Kwụsị ime ime: The machine will automatically stop after dispensing a pre-set volume. You can also manually stop brewing by pressing the same button again.
- Wepu Portafilter: Carefully remove the hot portafilter, discard the used coffee grounds (puck), and rinse the portafilter and basket.
Mara: If using pre-ground coffee, skip the grinding steps and fill the filter basket directly with pre-ground espresso coffee before tamping.
3. Dispensing Hot Water
To dispense hot water for tea or Americanos:
- Tinye otu iko n'okpuru uzuoku wand.
- Pịa Mmiri ọkụ bọtịnụ.
- Pịa Mmiri ọkụ button again to stop the flow.
4. Mmiri ara ehi na-eku ume
To create frothed milk for lattes and cappuccinos:
- Kwadebe mmiri ara ehi: Fill the milk pitcher with cold milk (dairy or non-dairy) up to just below the spout.
- Mee ka Steam rụọ ọrụ: Pịa Uzuoku button. The indicator light will flash as the machine heats up to steaming temperature. Once solid, it's ready.
- Wepu Steam Wand: Briefly turn the Uzuoku knob to release any condensed water, then turn it off.
- Mmiri ara ehi: Immerse the tip of the steam wand just below the surface of the milk. Turn the Uzuoku knob to full power. Angle the pitcher to create a swirling motion.
- Leba anya na okpomọkụ: Continue steaming until the milk reaches your desired temperature and texture (typically around 60-65°C or when the pitcher is too hot to touch comfortably).

- Bean Hopper: Empty any remaining beans and wipe the inside of the hopper with a dry cloth.
Ebelata
Depending on water hardness and usage, descaling should be performed every 2-3 months. Use a commercial descaling solution specifically designed for espresso machines and follow the manufacturer's instructions. Descaling removes mineral buildup that can affect machine performance and taste.
