The PGST PB-68 Door and Window Sensor is a crucial component of your PGST Home Security System, designed to detect unauthorized entry through doors and windows. This sensor operates by detecting the separation of its two main parts, triggering an alarm signal to your connected PGST alarm host and sending notifications to your smartphone. It provides real-time monitoring and enhances the security of your home or property.

Ihe dị mkpa: This sensor requires a PGST alarm host to function correctly and is compatible only with the PGST home security system.

  1. Kwadebe elu: Clean the desired mounting area on your door or window frame and the corresponding moving part (door/window) to ensure proper adhesion.
  2. Tinye teepu nrapado: Apply the provided double-sided adhesive tape to the back of both the main sensor unit and the magnetic contact.
  3. Mount the Main Unit: Mount the larger sensor unit onto the fixed frame of the door or window.
  4. Mount the Magnetic Contact: Mount the smaller magnetic contact onto the moving part of the door or window (the door itself or the window sash).
  5. Hazie akụrụngwa: Ensure that the main sensor unit and the magnetic contact are aligned horizontally and are less than 10 mm (approximately 0.4 inches) apart when the door or window is closed. Proper alignment is critical for correct operation.
  6. Nwale nwụnye: Open and close the door or window several times to verify that the sensor triggers and resets correctly. Confirm that your PGST alarm host registers the sensor's status changes.

  • Nchọpụta: When the door or window to which the sensor is attached is opened, the main sensor unit and the magnetic contact separate. This separation triggers the sensor.
  • Mkpalite mkpu: Upon being triggered, the sensor sends a signal to your connected PGST alarm host. The alarm host will then activate its siren (if armed) and initiate any programmed actions, such as sending notifications.
  • Nleba anya oge: Through the PGST application on your smartphone, you can monitor the real-time status of your doors and windows (open or closed) 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. You will receive alarm signals on your mobile phone within seconds of a trigger event.

Pairing with PGST Alarm System

Refer to your PGST alarm host's user manual for specific instructions on how to add new sensors to the system. Generally, this involves putting the alarm host into pairing mode and then triggering the sensor (e.g., by separating its two parts) to register it with the system. The process is typically managed through the PGST mobile application.

The PGST PB-68 sensor comes with a pre-installed Lithium Ion battery. When the battery level is low, your PGST alarm host or mobile application will typically notify you. To replace the battery:

  1. Carefully detach the main sensor unit from its mounting surface.
  2. Open the battery compartment (refer to the sensor's casing for specific opening mechanism, usually a small latch or screw).
  3. Remove the old Lithium Ion battery.
  4. Insert a new 3.7V Lithium Ion battery, ensuring correct polarity.
  5. Close the battery compartment and re-mount the sensor.
  6. Test the sensor to ensure it is functioning correctly with the alarm system.

Nhicha

Wipe the sensor's exterior with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use liquid cleaners or abrasive materials, as these can damage the device.
