- Adjust the thermostat dial to the desired temperature setting. A setting of 120°F (49°C) is generally recommended for safety and energy efficiency. Higher temperatures increase the risk of scalding.
- Replace the access panel(s) and restore power.
The water heater has a First Hour Rating of 60 Gallons per Hour and a recovery rate of 21 Gallons per Hour at a 90°F rise, indicating its capacity to deliver hot water.
