- Ensure the drill is turned off before changing bits.
- Unscrew the chuck collar at the tip of the drill counter-clockwise to open it.
- Insert the desired drill bit into the chuck. Ensure it is seated firmly and straight.
- Tighten the chuck collar clockwise until the drill bit is securely held. Do not overtighten.
- Gently pull on the drill bit to confirm it is properly secured and will not slip during operation.
