  1. Ensure the tester and its probes are clean and free from damage.
  2. Familiarize yourself with the voltage indicator lights on the tester body.

Follow these steps to use your voltage tester:

6.1. AC/DC Voltage Nnwale

  1. Hold the main body of the tester firmly.
  2. Connect the red probe tip to one point of the circuit you wish to test.
  3. Connect the black probe tip to the other point of the circuit.
  4. Observe the LED indicator lights on the tester. The lights corresponding to the detected voltage level will illuminate. For example, if testing a 12V car battery, the 6V and 12V LEDs should light up.
  5. Maka AC voltage, the lights will indicate the approximate voltage range. For DC voltage, the lights will indicate the voltage, and the polarity indicator (+/-) will show the positive or negative terminal.

6.2. Polarity Indication (DC Circuits)

When testing DC circuits, the tester will indicate polarity:
