The AU-400 features a 4-pole 3.5mm jack for broad compatibility with smartphones, laptops, and PlayStation 4. An included 3-pin adapter extends compatibility to DSLR cameras and other devices with a 3-pin jack. Its lightweight design and long 78-inch (2-meter) cable offer flexibility and ease of use in various recording environments.

3.1 Connecting to Smartphones, Laptops (single 3.5mm jack), and PS4

  1. Locate the 4-pole 3.5mm jack on the microphone cable.
  2. Plug this 4-pole jack directly into the 3.5mm headset/audio jack of your smartphone, laptop, or PS4. The thin design of the pin allows for connection even with a phone protector.
  3. Ensure the connection is secure. The microphone is plug-and-play and does not require additional drivers or batteries.

3.2 Connecting to DSLR Cameras and Laptops (separate audio/mic jacks)

  1. Identify the 3-pin adapter included in your package.
  2. Plug the 4-pole 3.5mm jack of the microphone into the female end of the 3-pin adapter.
  3. Insert the 3-pin male end of the adapter into the microphone input jack of your DSLR camera or laptop.
  4. For iOS devices, a separate Lightning to 3.5mm adapter (not included) may be required.

The microphone features a 78-inch (2-meter) long cable, providing ample length for comfortable recording without needing to be in very close proximity to your device.
