6. Nlekọta

The VGEBY Fuel Level Gauge and Sending Unit are designed for durability and require minimal maintenance.

  • Nhicha: Wipe the gauge face with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents that could damage the lens or housing.
  • Nyocha njikọ: Periodically inspect all wiring connections for tightness and corrosion. Ensure the ground connection is secure.
  • Sending Unit: The fuel sending unit is designed to operate within the fuel tank and generally does not require external maintenance. If fuel contamination is suspected, the tank and sending unit may need inspection by a qualified technician.

7. Nchọpụta nsogbu

If you experience issues with your fuel level gauge, refer to the following common problems and solutions:

  • Gauge Not Working (No Reading):
    • Check power supply to the gauge (red wire). Ensure it receives 12V when the ignition is on.
    • Verify the ground connection (black wire) is secure and free of corrosion.
    • Inspect the connection to the fuel sending unit (yellow wire).
    • Test the fuel sending unit for proper resistance range. A faulty sending unit will prevent accurate readings.
  • Ọgụgụ na-ezighi ezi:
    • Ensure the fuel sending unit's float arm moves freely within the fuel tank and is not obstructed.
    • Verify the sending unit is correctly calibrated for your tank depth.
    • Check for stable power and ground connections to the gauge. Fluctuations can affect accuracy.
  • Gauge Illumination Not Working:
    • Check the wiring for the illumination circuit (if separate from main power).
    • Ensure your vehicle's dashboard lights are functioning correctly.

If these steps do not resolve the issue, it is recommended to consult a qualified automotive electrician.
