This manual provides detailed instructions for the safe and effective installation, operation, and maintenance of your Generic 14.0-inch FHD WUXGA IPS LCD LED replacement screen, compatible with HP Notebook models W2M53UA and W2M53UA#ABA. Important: Ensure the backlight type, size, and resolution of this replacement screen match your original screen before proceeding. Some laptop models may have multiple screen variations.

Shut down your HP Notebook completely. Disconnect the power adapter and remove the battery. Place the laptop on a clean, flat, and static-free surface.
- Remove the Screen Bezel:
Carefully pry off the plastic bezel surrounding the LCD screen. Start from the top corners and work your way around the edges using a plastic prying tool. Be gentle to avoid breaking the plastic clips.

- Unscrew the Old Screen:
Once the bezel is removed, you will see the old LCD panel secured by small screws, typically on the side mounting brackets. Unscrew these screws and carefully lay the screen face down on the keyboard.
- Disconnect the Video Cable:
On the back of the old screen, locate the video cable connector (e.g., eDP connector). Gently peel back any tape securing the connector. Carefully unlatch the connector and pull the cable straight out. Be extremely careful not to damage the connector or the cable.

- Install the New Screen:
Take the new replacement screen. Connect the video cable to the new screen's connector. Ensure it is fully seated and secure the latch. Apply any tape that was present on the old screen to secure the connection.

- Mount the New Screen:
Carefully position the new screen into the laptop lid. Align the mounting holes and secure it with the screws you removed earlier.

Once the screen is confirmed to be working, carefully snap the screen bezel back into place around the new LCD panel. Ensure all clips are securely fastened.
