The Cen-Tech Metal Detector requires one 9-volt battery for operation.
- Locate the battery compartment cover, typically on the handle or rear of the device.

- To turn the detector ON, slide the power switch to the "ON" position. You may hear a brief beep and see an LED light up, indicating it is active.

Detecting Metal
- Hold the wand scanner by the handle and sweep the 6-inch wand head slowly and steadily over the area you wish to scan.
- When metal is detected, the device will emit an audio alarm (a distinct beeping sound) and/or activate the LED visual alert (a flashing light). The intensity of the alarm may increase as you get closer to the metal object.
- Pinpoint the exact location by narrowing your sweep area once an alarm is triggered.

- The detector features a 50% sensitivity reduction button. Press and hold this button to temporarily decrease the sensitivity of the detector. This is useful for scanning in areas with high levels of ambient metal or when trying to ignore smaller, less significant metal objects.
- Release the button to return to full sensitivity.

- The device is equipped with a low battery alert. When the battery power is low, the detector's performance may diminish, and a specific indicator (e.g., a continuous low tone or a specific LED pattern) will activate.
